James recently performed at The National Theatre in Women Beware Women which was directed by Marianne Elliott and ran in The Olivier Theatre to 4 and 5 star reviews.
Since then James gained a role at The Arcola Theatre in The Ark as "Soldier", which was written by Omar O'Keiry and directed by Simeilia Hodge-Dallaway.
James was on Broadway til December 2009, where he was appearing in Hamlet for the Donmar New York, which was directed by Michael Grandage and starred Jude Law. After a hugely successful run in the West End the play transferred to Broadway for three months and won excellent critical reviews.
Recently James created the role of Billy in the European Premier of David Foley's thriller Deadly Murder for The Vienna English Theatre.
He has also filmed a commercial for Fiat which has proved to be part of a hugely successful internet advertising campaign.
James graduated from The New York Conservatory of Dramatic Art in 2007 after being awarded a scholarship to attend.
He trained intensely in Shakespeare, Chekhov technique, Commercials, Voiceovers, Stage Combat and Scene Study for TV and Film - taught by Jay Goldenberg, who has been an acting coach on films and television series - His private clients include, Alicia Silverstone, Salma Hayek and Nicolette Sheridon.
While studying in New York, James was invited to play the roles of Tench and Arscott in Our Country's Good, which was directed by Julia Carey, and performed at the off-off Broadway venue, 49 Bleecker Street.
On returning from New York, James gained roles in independent films, such as John Roach in Anaphylaxis, filmed at Ealing Studios and shown at National and International film festivals.
Other film credits include Raphael in God Hates Fags, and Sam in Don't Go There.
As well as being an accomplished screen actor, James' theatre credits include, O'Reilly in the original London cast of Mel Brooks' hit musical, The Producers.
